Lenten Season

Lenten Season

Lent or kwaresma in Filipino is the season wherein Filipino people recall Christ's passion, his suffering, death and resurrection. Lent is meant to be a time of repentance. These 40 days are set aside to praise and worship the Lord; to read the Bible more, and to pray more. But us Non-Catholic, we do not celebrate Lenten Season but here is my observations.

What I observed about Lent is that it falls just about the time that our New Year’s resolutions have fallen to the wayside. It is also about forgiveness, and we all need to forgive someone. They have fasting that my religion don’t have. Catholics, remakes the sacrifice of Jesus.

That’s the only observations that I had. But despite of our different religions, we are praising God.
