Women of God

            Women have been the one’s who are doing so much work behind the scenes. Women's empowerment can be defined to promoting women's sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choices, and their right to influence social change for themselves and others. Every year, March is celebrated as National Women’s Month. This is to celebrate women’s social, economic, cultural and political achievements But why?

 This is to promote women’s empowerment, and gender equality, and concerns and challenges and commitments. Celebrating National Women’s Month, is a way of acknowledging the hardships and sacrifices women made. Sometimes men criticized women being weak. But little did they know that women can also do men’s work. By celebrating this, the world unites to appreciate women. Gender equality and empowering all women and girls is something that we seek to advance and if we fail to address girls’ differentiated needs and aspirations too, a generation will be lost and with it, our hope for sustainable development, prosperity, peace and security.

            Someday the gap between men and women will be broken. To be equal and live as one. Transforming the ways in which we engage men and boys in gender equality and women’s empowerment efforts is essential to long-lasting social change. We have a long way to go.

  Ilocano Ak: Ilocano’s Kannawidan Festival             Kannawidan Festival, among Ilocos Sur’s very historic festivals for so many years. Celebrated annual during the late January until February for weeks. It is held at Vigan City. But because of the pandemic the government of Ilocos Sur announced that there will be guidelines to be followed.             Unlike before the pandemic, everyone is allowed to come. But now below 15 years old and senior citizens are not allowed to ensure safety. In Trade and Food Fair as usual, one town one product which will give benefit to the sellers to have income and profit. Use of face mask is a must every time to enter the Kannawidan Grounds. The pageant “Saniata ti Ylocos Sur” will only be viewed on social media apps to avoid mass gathering. Kannawidan Summer Sports will be held the whole month of March but crew and participants must undergo COVID-19 test.   New Year New Me!!!           2020 was a devastating year for mankind. Lots of people pass away because of COVID-19 Pandemic. Although, some have achieve their New Year Resolution and some didn’t like me. Every New Year, people tend to create their New Year Resolution especially for their well-being. These New Year, we want to get rid of the unwanted habits we made the past year and establish a good and positive habits to renew ourselves.             For this year, as a student I want to be more dedicated and more discipline with my lessons because I know that this is very important especially these are the building blocks of my life that will help me become a successful person someday. As the only child of the family, I will challenge myself to push my limits beyond the expectations of my family. Establishing a much more understandable and meaningful relationship with my family.
