immunity to a particular infectious disease. A vaccine typically contains an
agent that resembles a disease-causing microorganism and is often made from
weakened or killed forms of the microbe, its toxins, or one of its surface
proteins. Let’s talk about the Covid-19 Vaccines.
Covid-19 is a disease
caused by a new strain of coronavirus. It originated in Wuhan, China and
spreads in the whole world faster than a blink of an eye. 1 year and several
months later, the virus is still alive and claiming lives of lots of people. But
thanks to the researchers and scientists, they’ve made a breakthrough. Learned
new things to fight the virus and the most important key is making vaccines.
Covid-19 vaccines have reached the Philippines, vaccinating over 780,000
Filipinos the past few days. According to researchers there are some negative
side effects but these are very common and should not be worried about. The
vaccine helps us trigger our immune response to
recognize and fight the said virus. The importance of the virus is to keep us
safe and stop the spreading the virus.
In all, we must help
one another. Stay vigilant and be a responsible citizen to stop the spreading
